This year we asked George Munkenbeck of Co. H, 14th Brooklyn to deliver the annual speech at our monument on Culp's Hill at that of the 65th NY.
PART ONE:
Fine Autumn weather guaranteed swelling camps of Blue and Gray for this Sesquicentennial event in the Shenandoah Valley. This covers Saturday including an extended view of the Cavalry's turn in the field, us waiting to get into battle, and ordinary camp life.
PART TWO:
Sunday's video shows us as skirmishers for the day's battle plus some great footage of fighting by the Heater House.
PART ONE:
Camp life on Saturday morning including introductions to some new members, a demo by the 6th New York Independent Artillery, and the appearance of Linus... a kitten belonging to the Cavalry that quickly assumed complete domination of the camp.

SMARTSCANMEDIA came to our event for the second year and made an excellent in depth video of the loading and firing procedures of the 6th New York Independent Artillery
Your Correspondent traveled solo to Gettysburg for the weekend of July 19th and discovered not one but two Living Histories at the Pennsylvania Monument: The 1st Rhode Island Artillery and the Calvert Arms Fife & Drum Corps. Each received extended attention from the video camera and the 1st Rhode Island performed a moving reenactment of their original soldier's experience at Gettysburg at the High Water Mark.

In the spirit of the Lincoln and the Constitution exhibit hosted by East Meadow Public Library, various persons were asked to read the Gettysburg Address including our own Private Tom Giminaro and NY State Assemblyman Tom McKevitt.
