PART TWO:
The annual Remembrance Day parade down Baltimore Street in Gettysburg... we make our entrance at the 10:57 mark.
PART ONE:
The day before Remembrance Day, Private Ron Ottone gave several of us an informal and informative tour of Devil's Den & Little Round Top at Gettysburg Battlefield. In this first of three clips, we began with Devil's Den.
PART TWO:
In this second clip on our pre-Remembrance Day tour of the battlefield we begin with the 124th New York monument at Devil's Den, then the Triangular Field, and lastly Private Tim Magee's tale of his Close Encounter with the Ghosts of Gettysburg.
PART THREE:
In the last of three clips, we start off with the position of Company B of the 20th Maine and then work our way to the rocky, open face of Little Round Top.
PART ONE:
To celebrate its 225th Anniversary, Baiting Hollow Church in Calverton invited us to put on a Living History. We had perfect Fall weather for the event and we were joined by Chaplain George Munkenbeck (Co. H, 14th Brooklyn) and Larry Moser & Mary Nagin who played period music. This clip has some drill and Larry & Mary playing the Gypsy Rover

PART THREE:
This clip is the second part of the ceremony in the church honoring the war veterans including one that was mortally wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg.
A video of one of our drills that we hold the last Sunday of every month at the Grange in Sayville. We recently received a lot of Fresh Fish (new recruits) so we spent a lot of time on the basic Manual of Arms.
PART ONE:
Scenes of camp life on Saturday prior to the day's battle
PART TWO:
Footage of our skirmish with the Confederates on Saturday afternoon. Special thanks to Jack Luchsinger for serving as our cameraman.
PART THREE:
Sunday in our camp including a firing demonstration by the 6th NY Independent Battery and a special ceremony honoring our First Sergeant Robert Moyer (Jeff Speight) who celebrated his 10th Anniversary with our regiment.
This video was shot by one of our fans, Chris Lauterbach. In his own words... The 8th Annual Civil War Weekend At The Grange was held over the weekend of September 16-18, 2016. This year the 'Battle of Deserted House' was fought. It is fully captioned. It is one of the best Civil War reenactments held on Long Island. It brings together Union and Confederate reenactment groups from Long Island. There are mock skirmishes and mock battles. It is a great educational event for adults and children.
PART ONE:
The 155th Anniversary of First Bull Run was held at Cedar Creek Battlefield and just like the 145th & 150th, Mother Nature sent the mercury well above 100F baking everyone in their own juices. That July weekend seems to be cursed for our community. Anyway, the 67th NY send a large contingent and was able to pass the time the best we could. Special thanks to Mike Boyle for serving as cameraman for the weekend.
PART TWO:
Given the extreme heat, activity was restricted however we did perform Dress Parade and the start of Saturday's battle scenario can be seen near the end of the clip. Since YouTube only allows 15 minutes of HD video, we had to chop Saturday's battle into four sections.
PART THREE:
Footage of Saturday's battle at the 155th Anniversary of the Battle of First Bull Run. Thankfully, the narrator can be clearly heard to explain what you are seeing.
PART FOUR:
Saturday's battle continued.
PART FIVE:
The conclusion to Saturday's battle scenario.
PART ONE:
YouTube allows only 15 minutes of HD uploaded per clip so we had to break up Dave and Bill's annual refresher course on musket maintenance into three parts
PART TWO:
In addition to cleaning, they give a brief review of using the musket safely in the ranks.
PART THREE: There is also the 'quick' cleaning procedure for when you're on the road and don't have too much time to give your musket extensive TLC.
Here's an unusual setting for a Civil War Living History... an Aerodrome! Just so happens one of our members, Pvt. Deigan (Bob Alonso), is a pilot and we helped him out with their fundraiser.
Kicking off the 2016 season with our traditional march in the Westhampton Beach Saint Patrick's Day Parade with the 9th Virginia Infantry.
