Here's our video from the 160th Anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Cedar Creek in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
Here's a video from Chris Lauterbach...The casket of Johnathan Thompson is carrier from the Sagtikos Manor house to the family graveyard on the property. Led by pallbearers from Co. K, 67th NY Volunteers mourners proceeded to a canopy erected nearby the graveyard. There the widow Elizabeth Thompson spoke briefly about her husband accompanied by songs sung by the Island Hill Chorus. An honor guard from the 67th fired three volleys of musket fire.
This was our first time at historic Sagtikos Manor located in West Bay Shore, Long Island. We served as an escort for a 'Victorian Mourning Procession' for a gentleman actually buried in a graveyard on the grounds.

Saturday morning started with the officers, men and support staff of Company K, 67th Regiment getting paid. Debts for laundry, tailoring and equipment had to be accounted for as well. Many a groan was expressed by the soldiers as they paid their bills.

Surprise Skirmish: Unsuspecting Union troops of Company K, 67th Infantry Regiment were at lunch when Confederate troops of the 9th and 30th Virginia attacked their camp. After an intense gunfight, the Northerners charged the Confederate skirmish line. The results of the engagement were indeterminate.

A company of Virginia soldiers encounter an advance group of Union soldiers. After a brief exchange of musket fire, and not knowing their full extent, they withdraw to rejoin the main Confederate force. In the interim Company K, 67 NY Volunteers catch up with their advance group. Subsequently the combined forces of the 9th and 20th Virginia attack the Union troops. Supported by artillery, the Confederates advance on the Union position. There is a heavy exchange of musket fire from both sides.

The 6th NY Independent Battery performed demo firings throughout the day. They also participated in the 3:00 PM Battle. This video shows two of the demo cannon firings.
