Living History at East Meadow Library

East Meadow, NY

May 31, 2014

East Meadow Public Library hosted a traveling exhibition, LINCOLN: the Constitution and the Civil War, and for the occasion reached out to the 67th NY and the 30th Virginia as living exhibits. The library also showed films, hosted authors, plays, and period music. And everyone visiting the exhibit was given the chance to recite the Gettysburg Address on camera for posterity, including some in our own ranks (see the video below). This was a very well and highly produced affair attracting local politicians including New York Assemblyman Tom McKevitt. We would like to give special thanks to David Schlaich who visited our camps and provided such fine photography.
