Year in Review
Thankfully, after three years we resumed a full schedule of events for our 25th season. Starting off with the (delayed) Westhampton Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade, we rolled into three school programs this Spring... Smithtown, Northport, and our first visit to Brentwood. Bayside Historical Society asked us to return for a Memorial Day Ceremony at Dermody Triangle and perform a living history at Fort Totten in October. We joined our fellow Long Island Civil War living historians at Bald Hill Schoolhouse in May although it was quite a washout. In June, we resumed the historical timeline at the Grange and held our 14th Civil War weekend in September. We followed the latter the very next weekend with our second stay at the Longwood Estate. In November, we returned to Gettysburg for Remembrance Day and we capped off our season with our Silver Anniversary ball at the Brush Barn in Smithtown Historical Society complete with period music, dancing, and food. Hopefully, we'll keep this going for another 25 years.
