145th Anniversary
of the Battle of Gettysburg

A lucky contingent of thirteen men from the 67th New York attended the 145th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. We had not attended a 'Mega-event' in many years and this would be the first time for many in our ranks. Whatever the assessment afterward, no one could deny this a grand spectacle, awesome in size and scope. Approximately 13,000 of us took part with four infantry battles not to mention action for also the Cavalry and Artillery. Overcast, humid, and often raining, at least it was reasonably cool for this time of year and the sun only tortured us at the very end during Pickett's Charge...
