Year in Review

This year we returned to Rocky Point for St. Patrick's Day, Hallockville Farm in May, and Cedar Creek and Remembrance Day in the Fall. We also joined in on some new events including the first every Civil War Reenactment at Old Bethpage Village Restoration and the beginning of our three-day Syosset school program. Sorry, those two aforementioned events are not on this album however you will find our first fall festival at Smithtown Historical Society and an excellent Timeline held in Huntington in July. The Big Event this year was the 140th Anniversary of Gettysburg however as the organizers had to shift the dates from July to August, only one of us was able to attend. With the 4th of July now free, we joined the 119th NY for the march in Patchogue under blistering hot conditions. There is also a trilogy of 'solo' albums from Your Correspondent documenting his travels to Fort Sumter, Andersonville, and Fort Delaware. We ended the year festively with a period Christmas ball at the West Sayville Country Club.
