Robert Jones

Private, Company D

Nineteen year-old Robert Jones enlisted with the 67th New York, 1st Long Island Volunteers on August 12, 1861 at Fort Schuyler, NY. He mustered in as a Private in Company D on August 31st.

Private Jones re-enlisted once more on Christmas Day 1863 and was wounded at the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House on May 12, 1864.

On September 1, 1864, Private Jones transferred into Company D of the 65th New York Infantry.
