Sadly, this Smithtown event marked Smokey's retirement from the hobby.
After nine years leading the 9th Virginia, Smokey's depature will be an enormous loss to the local living history community...
However in every war, there are casualties and another often rises to take their place
But Smokey's brogans will be tough to fill...
