"The program which we presented at Patchogue Library was sparsely attended however what our spectators lacked in numbers they made up for in interest. Co K members in attendance were Tom (that looks kind a farby to me) Creamer, the Snackster, Charles (cookies) Mammarella, John (senior citizen) Ernest, Anthony (books) Scarpati, and myself Ty (Swabby) Magliola. Also, a surprise guest, Dennis (What do you mean you're not serving food?) Phelps turned up in our audience. The people in attendance asked many thoughtful questions and the time seemed to fly by. Tom brought the frame that he made to set up a dog tent indoors and it works great. I think the unit should have a couple more of these for times of inclement weather. We had one table set up with articles from a soldiers kit and another with photos from events we have attended. Anthony gave a brief history of the company, I talked about a sailor's life and the rest of the boys all contributed to the program as well. A good time was had by the presenters as well as the spectators and our treasury benefited at the same time."
