Twenty-one year old Christopher Edenborough enlisted with the 67th New York, 1st Long Island Volunteers at Scio, NY. On June 24th, he mustered in as Corporal of Company C and was promoted Sergeant in November 1862.
He was returned to ranks on February 1, 1863 and promoted back to Corporal in April 1863. Corporal Edenborough re-enlisted as a veteran on Christmas 1863 and transferred to Company C of the 65th New York Infantry on September 1, 1864.
