Despite a threatening forecast, we wound up only having to deal with misty rain at first that quickly cleared out. With temps in the 50s, wasn't so bad! George Munkenbeck, the Oakdale Historical Society & the Islip Arts Council put on a fine production including a lot of music inside this historical 18th century church that goes little noticed. This year's lineup included the Idle Elementary School choir, the The Bay Area Friends of Fine Arts (carrolers dressed in Victorian garb), the ALBA Consort (traditional and period music), and of course, George giving his Christmas service as the Grand Finale.
